Do I have to go to the doctor my employer selects?

Yes. The Workers Compensation Act provides that employers/insurers have the right to direct the care. The employee, if requested by the employer, shall submit to an examination at reasonable times and places by a duly qualified physician designated and paid for by the employer. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of workers? compensation benefits.
