Selling tobacco products to a person less than 18 years of age is an infraction offense. If the Excise police or TRIP officers determine you are in violation, a report will be filed with the Alcohol & Tobacco Commission. A monetary fine may be imposed. Suspension or revocation of your businesses' tobacco certificate may also occur. Local police agencies also have the ability to ticket clerks into local courts for this type of infraction offense
