Do I need a permit to dispense alcoholic beverages if I am a clerk or waitperson?

An employee permit authorizes an individual to dispense alcoholic beverages as a clerk in a package liquor store, a bartender, waiter, waitress, or manager in a retail establishment. You must be 21 years of age to be a bartender. A person at least 19 years of age but less than 21 years of age who successfully completes an ATC approved server training program may serve alcoholic beverages in a dining area or family room of a restaurant or hotel with appropriate supervision as authorized by statute. Here are the Restricted Server Guidelines.
