How can I receive legal assistance?
The Indiana Courts website offers an excellent Self-Service Legal Center providing much information, court forms and several resources. It also offers several ways to find an attorney and a list of certified mediators. If you cannot afford an attorney, there are legal aid offices and "pro bono" programs for qualified applicants. If you are charged with a criminal offense, the court will appoint an attorney for you. http://www.in.gov/judiciary/selfservice/.
