How do I find out more about home care and other services for children and adults with disabilities?

Home and Community Based Medicaid Waivers and the Choice program provide funding for children, adults, and seniors with disabilities to receive support and services in the home and community rather than in an institutional setting like a group home or nursing home. Call your local Area Agency on Aging at 1-800-986-3505. You will automatically be connected with your area's office. People with developmental disabilities should contact their local Bureau of Developmental Disabilities office or call 1-800-545-7763. Information is also available on line. For information on services for people with developmental disabilities: http://www.in.gov/fssa/ddrs/2639.htm Information for people with other types of disabilities including aging services and CHOICE can be found at: http://www.in.gov/fssa/2329.htm
