Which public entities are required to disclose records?

A "public agency" is subject to the Access to Public Records Act. "Public agency" includes governmental agencies in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. A "public agency" includes state, county, city, town, township government, and school corporations. Other public agencies include those that are subject to audit by the state board of accounts or are law enforcement agencies, among other types of public agencies.
