What is a OHSA catastrophe?

A catastrophe is a work-related incident which results in the in-patient hospitalization of three or more employees for at least one night.  Catastrophes must be reported to OSHA within 8 hours.  For more information on how to report a catastrophe, please click here (link to IOSHA FAQ #3)
