How can I obtain an Indiana historical marker?

IHB uses a 2-part application process for Indiana State Historical Markers. The first step is filing an Intent to Apply form, available in the Spring of each year, which allows staff to screen suggested topics for state/national significance. Learn more about the significance guideline and other requirements at http://www.in.gov/history/3926.htm. Contact the Indiana Historical Bureau's Marker Program Coordinator at IHB@history.IN.gov or 317-232-2535 with questions.
