Does the State of Indiana provide funding for the prevention and treatment of problem gambling?

Yes, statute allocates approximately $1.8 million per year to the Division of Mental Health and Addictions from the riverboat admission tax. Of this amount, 25% must be used for the treatment and prevention of problem gambling.

In addition, statute allocates $250, 000 per year to the Indiana Gaming Commission for problem gambling initiatives.
