Office of Utility Consumer Counselor: How can I get financial help with utility bills?

The OUCC does not offer financial assistance but can provide qualifying consumers with applications for the Lifeline telephone assistance program (http://www.in.gov/oucc/2383.htm). Financial assistance on electric and natural gas bills is available from a variety of sources including the 211 help line (http://www.in211.org/) and through local Community Action Agencies (http://incap.org/).
