How do I find pro bono help?

The Indiana Pro Bono Commission does not have attorneys on staff who take cases. If you are unable to pay for a lawyer and would like more information about pro bono and legal aid programs available in your area, go to http://courts.in.gov/probono/2343.htm.

You will find contact information for civil legal service providers, local bar associations, and other projects that have been set up to assist low-income Indiana residents with their civil legal needs. The listed organizations can either help you with your case themselves and/or direct you to a lawyer or organization in your county that can help you. Most organizations do have an intake procedure that includes a financial screening.
