How do I obtain an attorney Certificate of Good Standing?

There are three ways to obtain a Certificate of Good Standing ("CGS"), which cost $3.00 each:

  1. If you would like to pay for the CGS by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, you can contact the Roll of Attorneys Administrator at (317) 232-5861, ext. 4. You will also be charged for postage for the mailing of the CGS, as well as a convenience fee. Please allow twenty-four (24) hours to process all credit card orders.

  1. If you would like to pay with cash, check, or credit card and would like to receive a CGS in-person, then please call 317-232-5861, ext. 4, and then come to pick up your CGS the following business day. Please allow twenty-four (24) hours for personal pick up. The Roll of Attorneys Administrator's office is located at 402 W. Washington Street, Room W062, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.

If you would like to mail a written request for the CGS and receive your CGS by mail, then you may send a written CGS request to the Roll of Attorneys Administrator, 402 W. Washington Street, Room W062, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204, along with a check for $3.00 made out to the "Clerk of Courts" and a self-addressed stamped envelope.
