How long do I have to file a discrimination complaint?
You have 180 days from the date of the occurrence to file a complaint of discrimination. The lone exception is for housing-related incidents which you have one year to file a complaint of discrimination. For additional information, or to speak to someone about filing a complaint of discrimination, call the Indiana Civil Rights Commission at 1-800-628-2909. You can also visit: www.in.gov/2383.htm to complete an on-line inquiry form with the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.
