Can I represent myself in an appeal without an attorney?

The "Self-Service Legal Center" website contains information and forms for persons representing themselves in a legal action. This site also contains a link entitled "Getting Legal Help," which provides information on finding an attorney and links to organizations and programs that provide referrals or legal aid. Person's representing themselves must follow the same rules as parties who are represented by an attorney. The rules, including the Rules of Appellate Procedure, may be found in the public library or online here.
