Network members should familiarize themselves with the following components: 1. Router: The network uses Cisco-series routers, all of which have the word "Cisco" somewhere on the front and back. The two series of routers currently in use are as follows: 1700 (11" x 4": Dark Gray/Black) and 2600 (1'5-1/2" x 2": Dark Gray). 2. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): "APC" on the front. A UPS has several lights on the front and is contained in an ivory or light tan case approximately 1'6" x 5" x 6-1/2". 3. Netgear Switch: This device will be located with the router and UPS. It is very small and blue in color with 5 ports in the front for connecting network devices together. Both our router and UPS should be plugged into this device as well as your LAN switch.
