For State Employees Only: What can I do to protect my workstation from viruses?

Here are a few tactics you can use to protect your workstation from viruses: 1. DO NOT download anything from the Internet. 2.  DO NOT install any unauthorized or non-business software (i.e. Gator, Weather Bug, Webshots and other weather and news updates, search engines etc.) 3.  Make sure that your McAfee AntiVirus software is properly installed and up to date. 4. If you use a laptop, we recommend you logon to the network at least once a week to receive new anti-virus updates and Microsoft patches.
